Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Tues. April 30, 1968

LAKE ODESSA- Ralph O. Shaw, 66, of Bliss road, Lake Odessa, died suddenly at 
six pm Monday at Pennock hospital a short time after admittance.

He was born March 9, 1902 at Orleans, the son of James and Lulu Loomis Shaw. He 
married Naoma Cooley, February 11, 1921 and moved to Lake Odessa from Grand 
Ledge in 1928 and they resided on the Cooley farm on Bliss road since that time.

Surviving are his wife, Namoa, four sons, Robert of Lake Odessa, Ray of 
Portland, George of Mulliken and Ralph Jr. of Eaton Rapids; two daughters, Mrs. 
Verne Ackley of Lake Odessa and Mrs. Loren Palas of Long Beach, Calif. fourteen 
grandchildren and one great grandchild. Three sisters, Mrs. Forest Dixon, Mrs. 
Chester Kelly, both of Grand Ledge and Mrs. Stanley Smith of Grand Rapids; two 
brothers, Robert of Englewood, Calif. and Ernest of Grand Ledge.

Services will be at 1:30 pm Thursday at Pickens funeral chapel  in lake Odessa 
with Rev. Wilbur Williams officiating and burial in Lakeside cemetery.
