Ionia Sentinel Standard, 20 May 1935

Howard Shaw, 26, died at the University hospital Saturday afternoon following a
month’s illness.  He was born in Odessa township and had always lived there.  He
was married to Miss Wilda Parker last fall.  He was a member of the Central
Methodist church at Lake Odessa.

Surviving are the widow, his mother, Mrs. Mary Shaw of North Odessa; three
brothers, Earl, Elmer and William at home; two sisters, Francis and Gladys, at
home.

Funeral services will be held from the home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock, with
Rev. Leon Manning pastor of the Central Methodist church at Lake Odessa
officiating.  Burial will be at the Lakeside cemetery.
