AGED ODESSA MOTHER DIES AT HER HOME
Mrs. Lucinda Shaw, 87, Passes After Several Years of Feebleness Funeral Tuesday.

Mrs. Lucinda Jones Shaw passed away at her home northeast of town Saturday. Mrs.
Shaw was born in Canada and came to Ionia county. About 40 years age she and her husband
purchased the farm in this township, where she died. Her husband, Robert preceded
her by only a few years.

The family were identified with the Methodist church here for many years, as long as
health permitted.

She leaves a son James of Grand Ledge, but lost a son Glenn about ten years ago.
There are six daughters, Mrs. Nancy Chapin of Detroit, Mrs. Millie Rodgers of Portland,
Mrs. Loretta Gregg of Sunfield, Mrs. Jennie Hansbarger, Mrs Mary Bever and Mrs. Grace 
Ackerson, grandchildren, great-grandchildren  and two great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held at the home Tuesday afternoon with the  Rev. C .E. Thies, the
pastor, officiating. The singers were Mr. and Mrs. Harley Johnson, who gave two selections.


Burial was at Lakeside cemetery.
