Ionia Sentinel Standard, 6 Apr 1964

Kathie Jean Sheaffer, 10, of route one Ionia, died unexpectedly Saturday
morning.  She was taken to Ionia hospital after she suddenly became ill and
complained of severe head and neck pain and was pronounced dead upon arrival. 
An autopsy was performed by state pathologist, Dr. Charles Black, who said death
was due to a ruptured artery in the brain.
