                     Connie L,Scheaffer (Cunningham)

Connie L. Sheaffer (Cunningham), age 62, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2008 
after a lifetime of health problems.

She was born on April 10, 1940 in St.Johns, the daughter of Bill and Virginia 
(Russell) Cunningham. Mrs. Sheaffer was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Catholic 
Church and the Ionia Moose Lodge. She truly enjoyed playing the organ and 
teaching religious education classes at church. She had a great sense of humor 
and loved playing cards and watching baseball and the Pistons.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Richard Hawley II.

Surviving are her four children, Brenda (Richard) Hawley, Paula Scheaffer, Lois 
(Charles) Batchelor and Gary Sheaffer II; four grandchildren, Brandy (Jeff) 
Hawley, Chase, Emily and Hayley Batchelor, one great-grandchild, Taylor 
Vriesenga; one step-great-grandchild, Vanessa Lemon; siblings, Betty(Rick) 
Sloat, Fred Cunningham, Russ (Carolyn) Cunningham and Deb.(Doug) Dulek and many 
nieces, nephews and cousins. She had some really close friends Bert and Pauline 
"Tilly", Randy and Jill, Phyllis Brand, Karl and Shirley Russnell and especially 
Frank Ciangi.

May she find peace in the next life.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated by the Rev.Melvin Fox pastor, at 11 a.m., 
Tuesday June 17, 2008 at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church. A time of 
fellowship and lunch will take place at the Ionia Moose Lodge following Mass.
