Eleanor R. Sheaffer, 71, of 907 Half Moon Drive, Stanton, passed away 
Wednesday, June 28, 2006 at Spectrum Health-United Memorial Campus in 
Greenville.  She was born September 27, 1934 to Lewis Branton and Alice 
(Piper) Branton.  On July 6, 1968 Eleanor married Fredrick E. Sheaffer at Long 
Lake.  Mrs. Sheaffer has been a resident of Half Moon Lake since 1984, 
formerly of Palo.  She attended Shiloh Community Church and she was retired 
from the Department of Social Services where she worked as a social worker.

Eleanor is survived by one son Bob and Sharon Robinson of Palo; one daughter, 
Beth and Leon Litchfield of Ionia; one stepson Fredrick and Debbie Sheaffer of 
Orleans; two stepdaughters, Patricia Scheid of Saranac and Ruth Ann and Max 
Christensen of Grand Rapids; 13 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; one 
sister Mary Rich of Greenville and two brothers Donald Branton of Hurst, TX 
and Willis Branton of Alabama.  Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents 
and her husband, Fredrick E. Sheaffer on April 29, 1996.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 30th from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the 
Simpson Family Funeral Home, Sheridan.  Funeral services will be held on 
Saturday, July 1, 2006 beginning at 11 a.m. at the Shiloh Community Church in 
Orleans with Pastor Kenneth Harger officiating.  Interment will be at the 
Woodard Lake Cemetery, Orleans.
