From Monday’s Banner. After a strong but uneven fight against that dark monster from whose grasp none can escape, Elna Ethlene, sweet, pure and Christlike gave up the fight which she had so long made against the inroads of disease and passed peacefully away to the loving master in whose trust she had so early learned to place her trust. Only 11 year of age she had learned the love of that master and frequently spoke of him in the long and weary illness that has at last proved so fatal. A member of the Sunday school and of the Junior League, she has done her part in the work assigned to the Christian here below and He who doeth all things well has called her, thus young in life, to dwell with him in that home where sorrow never comes nor sickness nor pain. The loss falls heavily on Rev. and Mrs. Sheehan who have stood by her throughout the long tedious illness and hoped even against hope, and they have the heartfelt sympathy of all in this the hour of their bereavement. The services will be held at the home tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock and will consist of remarks by Rev. H. N. Spear, Rev. J.E. Butler and Dr. I.S. Morris, and the remains will be interred in River Ridge cemetery.
