Rev. Christine (Kit) Sheffer has passed away on June 27, 2007 from kidney 
failure due to an ongoing battle with Lupus.  

In life she was a Reverend of the First Metaphysical Church of Davison, an 
accomplished seamstress and jewelry maker, an active participant in the 
Michigan Renaissance Festival, a great lover of children and animals, a kind 
soul and a loving friend.  The daughter of William and Lavonne Brainard, she 
was born on May 6, 1955 and raised in Muir, Michigan.  Her first marriage to 
Mark Oxendale lasted form November 8, 1980 to 1988.  She later moved to Wayne, 
Michigan where she married Harold Chris Sheffer on December 2, 1995.  Harold 
remains in Flint, Michigan and works as a machine tool electrician.

Christine has three children, Raymond Edward Drew Oxendale (1979), Sereana 
Esther Della Oxendale (1981) and Niall Earl Byron Oxendale (1982).

Christen was preceded in death by her father William Brainard.  She is 
survived by her husband Harold Chris Sheffer of Flint her children Raymond 
Edward Drew Oxendale and his children Christopher and Cameron of Flint, 
Sereana Esther Della Oxendale of Wayne, Niall Earl Byron Oxendale (Cynthia) 
and children Zachary and Steven of the United Kingdom; her mother, Lavonne 
(Brainard) Davenport of Hastings; her stepfather, Charles Davenport of 
Hastings; her brothers, Alan (Deb) Brainard of Lyons, Craig Brainard of Grand 
Rapids, Bruce (Melissa) Brainard of Lyons, Robert (Cheryl) Brainard of 
Florida, David Brainard of Ionia; her sister, Alice Eiler of Portland; her 
stepsisters, Cathy Davenport of Hastings, Amy Davenport of Ohio; her 
stepbrother, Bruce Davenport of Ohio; and various nieces and nephews.
