The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Friday, November 22, 1912

The remains of Mrs. W. C. Sheldon arrived in Ionia Thursday evening from 
Hinsdale, Ill., where she died Wednesday of this week, the husband of the 
deceased accompanying the body here.  The funeral will be attended from the 
home of Mrs. Dwight Sheldon, Lovell place at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon, Rev. 
J. W. Sheehan of Grand Rapids officiating.  Burial in Highland Park cemetery.

Mrs. W. C. Sheldon died Wednesday, November 20, at the home of her daughter, 
Mrs. W. H. Edwards in Hinsdale, Ill.  Mrs. Sheldon has been an invalid for 
many years.  She was the mother of Dwight C. Sheldon, at one time the 
prosecuting attorney of this county, whose death occurred this year.  The 
remains were brought to Ionia for interment, Friday.  The only other son is in 
California, Mrs. Edwards and Mr. Sheldon being the only members of the 
family.  Mrs. Sheldon with her husband resided in this city a few years ago.
