Sheldon, which occurred Monday Jan. 4 after a four hour illness following a heart attack in Florida. Mr. Sheldon was born near Vickoryville, October 23, 1883. He was a Gibson refrigerator man which plant honored him with a recognition pin for 25 years service before he went into retirement this summer. He was married to Florence Scripture in South Dakota, where he made his home when a young man. They came to Greenville in 1905 to live. Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Alex (Doris) Dudley of Lansing, now in Florida and Mrs. Arthur (Joy) Johnson of Greenville; one son, Donald Sheldon of Cadillac, Mich.; and seven grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Geo. Sheridan of Hamburg, Mrs. Howard DeHart, Vickeryville and Mrs. Ronald Banton of Saginaw and one brother, Frank Sheldon of Muskegon. Funeral services were held at the Griffith-Cline funeral home in Bradenton, Fla. and the body will be brought back to Belding for burial in the spring. Mr. and Mrs. Johnson left as soon as possible Monday after receiving the message to be with her mother and attend the services.
