The Belding Banner, Thursday, March 18, 1965


Dora Darling Sheldon, age 89, of 6501 Bartonville Rd., died Sunday morning.  
She was born in 1875 to Major and Mrs. Frank R. Chase in Smyrna and was a 
lifelong resident of Ionia county.  Her husband Dwight died about 50 years 
ago.  He was formerly Belding City Attorney and Ionia County Prosecuting 
Attorney.  Preceding her in death were two daughters, Dora and Florence.  
Surviving is a son Dwight Flood Sheldon.

Services were held Wednesday at the Ellis-Danol Funeral Home with the Rev. Kent 
Troyer of Smyrna Gospel Church officiating.  Burial was in Highland Park 
cemetery, Ionia.
