The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wednesday, July 12, 1972

A retired farmer, West J. Shellenbarger, 73, died at his home at Charlotte 
Wednesday morning.

He was born in Sunfield township, Eaton county, August 14, 1898, the son of 
Linus E. and Ruth Bywater Shellenbarger and was a lifelong resident of Eaton 
county.  He farmed in Sunfield township near Lake Odessa.  He was a member of 
New Testament Assembly of Lansing.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Myra Mincey and Mrs. Alice Neff of Charlotte; 
brother North Shellenbarger of Hastings, and relatives of Lake Odessa.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Pickens funeral chapel in Lake 
Odessa.  Rev. Roy Whitinger of Charlotte will officiate and interment will be 
at Lakeside cemetery.
