LAKE ODESSA –Acel Shellenbarger, age 89, of Lake Odessa and formerly of Long 
Beach, California passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at Sparrow 
Hospital’s Saint Lawrence Campus.

Acel (Ace) was born on June 16, 1917 in Lake Odessa, the son of Everett and 
Tillie Shellenbarger. 

He married Marion M. Brown on May 26, 1956. Many of their happy years together 
were spent traveling the country with their airstream trainer.

Ace is survived by his sister, Betty (Don) List of Saginaw; niece, Denise King; 
nephews, Greg List, Phillip List, Mark (Karen) Rogers, Tom Rogers and Bill 
Rogers; great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded I death by his loving wife, Marion (June 11, 2006); his 
parents, Everett and Tillie Shellenbarger and sisters, Genevieve Shellenbarger 
and Glada Rogers (Clair Rogers).

A private family memorial will be held.
