Oscar Shellenberger Passed Away Jan. 4
Oscar Shellenbarger, 75, retired farmer, passed away Wednesday night at the Barry
County Medical Care Facility, Hastings where he had been a patient for a short time. A
lifelong resident of the community. He had lived on his farm on Vedder Rd., for 38 years
until moving to his home in the village several months ago. His parents were Julius and
Martin Shellenbarger.

Surviving are his wife, the former Hazel Hull, whom he married in 1910; two sisters,
Mrs. Mabel Roush of Hastings and Mrs. Bert Bell of Charlotte; and two brothers Cyrus of 
Tucson, Arizona and Orville of Lake Odessa.

Funeral services were held on Saturday at 1:30 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with
burial in the Lakeside cemetery.  Rev. Vernon Beardsley officiated.
