Lake Odessa Wave - April 19, 1962
          A. C. SHELLENBARGER DIED LAST SATURDAY
   Austin C. Shellenbarger, 62 1808 Berkley S. W. Grand Rapids passed away
unexpectedly at Butterwoth 
hospital Saturday afternoon but had been in ill health for about 26 years.  He was
born in Odessa township 
but was a resident of Grand Rapids for the last 11 years wand was a retired plant
guard of the Jarecki Tool & 
Die Company.  They lived on their farm at Tupper Lake before moving to Grand Rapids.
 His parents were 
Andrew and Angeline Shellenbarger.
   Surviving are his wife, the former Mabel Wellfare whom he married in 1918, a son
Claud of rural Lake 
Odessa, a daughter, Mrs. Eldon (Marilee) Jackson rural Lake Odessa; 8 grandchildren
and one sister Mrs. 
Rosa Davidson of Sunfield.
   Funeral services were held on Tuesday at 1:30 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with
burial in Lakeside 
cemetery.  Rev. F. J. Fitch officiated.
