Roy Shellenbarger will arrive here Friday at 1:35 p.m. and will repose at the Pickens chapel where services will be held Saturday at 2 under the auspices of the LaVern Demeray Post, American Legion. Roy was born March 8, 1919 in Lake Odessa and had lived in this vicinity his entire life. He graduated from the local high school in 1937. He served in the U.S. Army and passed away in the Bilibid Japanese Prison Camp in Manilla, P.I. on January 18, 1945. Surviving are the father David O Shellenbarger; two brothers, Adrian of Lake Odessa and a twin S/Sgt. Rex Shellenbarger of Chanute Field, Ill. Burial will be in Lakeside cemetery with Rev. Ronald Hoffman of Charlotte officiating.
