          RITES HELD FOR RUTH A. SHELLENBARGER

   Mrs. Ruth Adella Shellenbarger, 85, widow of Linus Shellenbarger, passed away
Wednesday morning at her 
home, 2434 S. Cochran, route 4, Charlotte.

   A native of Ionia county she married Mr. Shellenbarger in 1895 and had lived in
Eaton county most of her life 
and since 1920 in the Charlotte and Olivet areas.

   Mrs. Shellenbarger was affiliated with the New Testament Assembly of Lansing.

   Surviving are two sons West J. of Charlotte and North R. of Hastings; two
daughters Mrs. Myra E. Mincey of 
Charlotte and Mrs. Otto (Alice) Neff of Springport; several grand and great
grandchildren and two great great 
grandchildren; there brothers Thomas R. Bywater and Howard Bywater of Weidman, Paul
of Houghton Lake 
and a sister Mrs. Mary Otterbein of Mt. Pleasant.

   Funeral services were held Friday at 2:30 at the Pickens Funeral Chapel with
burial in Lakeside cemetery.  
Rev. Vernon Beardsly officiated.
