Shellenbarger, aged 85, of Lake Odessa, was called home on Thursday morning, April 26, 2007 following a short illness. Don was born in Lake Odessa on March 9, 1922 to Elmer and Laura (Black) Shellenbarger. For many years Don worked as a milk hauler in central and western Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy “June” Shellenbarger; children, Larry (Sandy) Shellenbarger, David Shellenbarger, Donald Shellenbarger, and Teri (Roger Lowe) Shellenbarger; step-children, Patricia (George) Johnson, Keith (Lois) Bosworth, Anita (Bill) Stewart, Alyce Cutcher, Calvin (Cheryl) Bosworth, and Pamela (Russell) Gardner; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and sisters, Louise Pennington, Lenore Pierce, Janet Mouser, and Lucy (Ray) Foust. Don was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Dorothy Mae (Noll) Shellenbarger in 1971. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2007 at the Koops Funeral Chapel. Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery. The family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to Eaton Community Hospice or the Sebewa Church of God.
