Lake Odessa Wave - July 1, 1948
          ED SHELLHORN DIED MONDAY
   Edwin Shellhorn, 73, passed away late Monday night at Pennock hospital where he
was taken following a 
heart attack suffered Saturday night at his home.
   Mr. Shellhorn was a retired business man having had a men's clothing store here
for 29 years.  He had also 
served nine years as local post master.  He was a member of First Congregational
church and a life member 
of Lake Odessa F & AM, and had served on the village council.
   Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Edwin Shellhorn, a daughter, Mrs. Herbert Beard of
Lansing, a son E. V. 
Shellhorn of Kalkaska, and two grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held this (Thursday) afternoon at the Pickens funeral
chapel with burial at Lakeside 
cemetery.  The Rev. Raymond E. Durkee officiated.
