July 12, 1912 MRS. ALLORIA SHELLHORN-BECKER Alloria Shellhorn-Becker was born in Seneca Co., Ohio, Nov. 19, 1877. When six years of age she came with parents to Michigan, residing for a number of years on what is known as the old farm home near Woodbury. After completing the high school course in our local high school with the class of 97 she followed the vocation of teaching, in which she was eminently successful. On Oct. 3, 1906 she was united in marriage with Mr.Geo.Becker of this place; they together began life's work on the Becker farm. A long, happy, useful life seemed to beck-on them on, when suddenly on the afternoon of July 3, 1912, the angel messenger came and bore her spirit home. She was was an earnest student, and efficient teacher, a devoted daughter, sister and wife. May 17, 1908 she united with the Congregational church, to this church she was faithful and true; for these things we loved her and because of these thing we mourn our loss. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon at the Cong'l church, Rev. Prestidge preaching the funeral sermon, the burial being in Lakeside cemetery. CARD OF THANKS We sincerely wish to thank the choir, neighbors and friends for their kindness shown us during the sickness and death of our dear wife, daughter and sister. George Becker, Mr.and Mrs.Benj. Shellhorn, Wm. Shellhorn and family, Edwin Shellhorn and family.
