Funeral and committal service for Mrs. Charlotte Shellman, 37, 118 ½ Monroe 
avenue, Grand Rapids, who died suddenly Friday at Butterworth hospital, will be 
held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Pickens funeral home.  The Rev. A. J. Pitman will 
officiate.

Mrs. Shellman spent most of her life in the Lake Odessa area and had lived in 
Grand Rapids about two years.

She was born June 21, 1922 in Orange township, Ionia county, the daughter of 
Herbert and Rosa (Jackson) Courtnay.

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Rosa Courtnay of Lake Odessa; two sisters, 
Mrs. Dale (Verna) Robinson of Lakeland, and Mrs. George (Anna) Lulak of Encino, 
Calif., and two brothers, Ivan and Stanley Courtnay of Lake Odessa.
