Her early life was spent in Sebewa. She married Harry Shelter of Sebewa who died 15 years ago. They had lived in Woodland for some time and then moved to Lake Odessa where they made their home for 20 years. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Lula Schray and Mrs. Tillie Shellinbarger of Lake Odessa, three sons, Orma of Lansing, Arlie of Orleans and Earl of Lake Odessa, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon from the Wortley-Baine funeral home at Lake Odessa and interment will be at Lakeside cemetery. Rev. Frank Moxon of the Calvery United Brethren church will officiate. Subsequent Publication: Tuesday, September 10, 1940 Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Shelter, 77, who died Friday were held from the Wortley and Baine funeral home in Lake Odessa Sunday. Rev. Frank Maxon was in charge. Surviving Mrs. Schelter are two daughters, Mrs. Lola Schray and Mrs. Tillie Shellenbarger, of Lake Odessa and three sons, Orma of Lansing, Arlie of Orleans, and Earl of Lake Odessa.
