The Lake Odessa Wave, Thursday, April 14, 1960

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Louella Shepard, 56, at the Morris funeral 
home, Saranac with burial in Saranac cemetery.  Rev. Howard Bull officiated. 

Mrs. Shepard passed away Thursday morning after a two year illness.  A native 
of Berlin township, she had lived her entire life in Ionia county and was a 
resident of the local area for several years.  She married Howard Shepard 
forty years ago and for several years lived west of Saranac.  Mrs. Shepard was 
employed in Ionia for a number of years until her health failed.

Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Rosalyn) Fahrni of 
Clarksville; four grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Fish of Saranac also 
a daughter-in-law, Verna Shepard of Saranac.  A son Leo passed away two years 
ago in September.
