                               BETTY ROSE SHEPARD

LAKE ODESSA - Betty Rose Shepard, 56, of 4173 E. Brown Road, Lake Odessa, died 
Monday at her residence.

She was born May 14, 1928, in Lake Odessa, the daughter of Forrest and Leona 
Francisco Collins Stair.

She graduated  in 1946 from Lake Odessa High School.

She married Perry Shepard on April 4. 1947 in Lake Odessa.He preceded her in 
death in November, 1964.

She was employed by J.C.Penney in Hastings and Stekatees in Grand Rapids. 

Surviving are one daughter Renee Speas of Lake Odessa; three sons, Rick of 
Hastings, Ron of Lake Odessa, and Randy of Portland; four grandchildren; one 
brother, Jack Stair of Florida; two sisters Beverly Daniels of Vermontville and 
Shirley Herbstreith of Lake Odessa.

One brother, Forrest Jr. preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Koops Funeral Home in 
Lake Odessa with the Rev. George Seas.

Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 
p.m. at the Koops Funeral Chapel.
