                            BESSIE L. SHEPARD, 87

BELDING - Mrs.Bessie L.Shepard, 87, of 414 E.State St., died Monday at Belding 
Christian Nursing Home following several weeks illness.

She was born Sept. 18, 1888 at Hesperia, the daughter of Warren and Sarah 
Shepard.She lived in Belding for 84 years and was a retired employe of the 
former Jolly Kids Co.. She was a member of Belding United Methodist Church.

Surviving are four nieces, Mrs.Elbert Lyndelle Mier, Belding, Mrs.Marvel Dunlap, 
Lansing, Mrs.Frances Sartor, Dimondale, Mrs.Carmel Rothernell, California, a 
nephew Warren Shepard, Belding.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Charles M.Courser Funeral Home, 
Belding. The Rev. Eugene Lewis officiating. Interment will be in Belding Free 
Methodist cemetery. The family will receive friend and relatives at the Funeral 
Home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
