                               GEORGE L. SHEPHERD

George L. Shepherd 59, of 601 West Ellis Avenue, Belding died suddenly Friday at 
his home.

Born February 21, 1914, at Marshall he was the son of James and Mary E.Grenier 
Shepherd.

He was married February 29, 1936 in Lansing to the former Emma Jane Barnes.Hew 
as a truck driver for the Detroit Gasket and manufacturing Company of Belding.

Surviving are t he wife, Emma Jane; two sons, George J Shepherd,Jr. of Belding 
and Robert I. of Seattle, Wash. five grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs.Kathryn 
Spitzley of Fenwick and Mrs.Alice Slowinski of Port Huron; brother,James of 
Detroit.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 pm at Huffman Funeral Home in Belding. Fr. 
Charles Steves will officiate and interment will be in St.Joseph, Cemetery.

Rosary will be recited Sunday at 8 pm at the funeral home.

Visitation hours at the funeral home will be Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 pm 
and 7 ti 8:30 pm.
