Sentinel-Standard - Saturday, June 26+, 1954

Mrs. Bessie Shepherd, 76, died at the Robinson Nursing Home on Morse street  
Saturday morning at 8 o'clock.

Mrs. Shepherd, a former resident of Ionia, was born April 1, 1834. Her husband, J. 
L. preceded her in death in 1920.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Harriet Quinn of Lapeer; a brother, Frank Grenier of 
Flint; five children, Daniel of Lansing, Mrs. A. J. (Alice) Slowinski of Port Huron,

James of Centerline, George of Belding, and Mrs. William Spitzley of Fenwick; and 12

grandchildren.

The body will repose at Myers funeral home Sunday afternoon after 4 p.m.

rosary will be recited Monday evening at 8 o'clock.

Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 8:30 Tuesday morning followed by a 
Requiem High Mass at SS Peter and Paul church at 9 o'clock.

Interment will be at Portland cemetery.
