Ionia Daily Sentinel – Thursday, 13 October 1932

Marshall D. Sherd, 71, of Bushnell Township, Montcalm County, died at his home 
Thursday morning.  The funeral services will be conducted at the home Sunday 
afternoon.  Burial will be in the Palo cemetery.

Mr. Sherd was a native of Tecumseh but had lived the greater part of his life 
in Montcalm County.  He had been in poor health for the past year of ulcers of 
the stomach.  Surviving are the wife, Cora; five sons, Berkley, Mahon, Merritt 
of Grand Rapids and Irving and Leslie of Bushnell; one brother, Verne of Ionia.
