Watson L. Sherd, 28, died Saturday morning March 7, at the University hospital 
in Ann Arbor where he had been for the past four weeks.  He was born in 
Montcalm County and attended the Ionia High School.  Mr. Sherd is survived by 
his wife and two sisters, Mrs. Luther Martin of Grand Rapids, and Mrs. Roy 
Martin of Ionia.  Funeral services will be held from the home of his parents 
Mr. and Mrs. Vern Sherd, 605 West Main Street, Tuesday at 1:15 o’clock and at 
2 o’clock from the Palo Baptist church.  Interment will be at the Palo 
cemetery.

Funeral services for Watson L. Sherd, 28, who died Saturday morning March 7 at 
the University hospital in Ann Arbor, were held from the home of his parents, 
Mr. and Mrs. Vern Sherd, today and from the Palo Baptist church.  Rev. L. W. 
Stewart officiated and interment was at the Palo cemetery.  Miss Geraldine 
Seely furnished the music and pall-bearers were Darr Lombard, Elton Thorp, 
Flory Stone, Chauncey Antcliff, Wallace Perrin and Charles Perrin.
