Relatives from near Palo received word Monday morning of the death of Mrs. 
Mildred Sherd of Grand Rapids widow of the late Merritt Sherd.  She was born 
March 12, 1907 in Bushnell Township the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. 
Norman Eitelbuss.

She is survived by six children, two sisters, Mrs. Anna Wilcox and Mrs. Marie 
Ristma of Grand Rapids; one brother Fred Eitelbuss of Grand Rapids.  Funeral 
services will be held Thursday, June 9 at 1:30 pm at the Greenhoe funeral 
chapel in Grand Rapids at 3:30 pm at the Palo Baptist church.  Interment will 
be in Palo Cemetery.
