Sherd, 84, of 9692 Castle Rd., Sheridan, died this morning at Christensen's Nursing Home, Greenville. Mrs. Sherd was born Aug 10, 1896, at Bloomer Township, Montcalm County, the daughter of Theodore and Mae Hoyt. A lifetime resident of the Sheridan area, she was a life member of Bushnell Ladies Aid, and had six sons who served in World War II. She lost her oldest son in the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium. She was preceded in death by her husband Leslie in 1966, and by three sons, Marshall, Robert and Harold. Surviving are three daughters; four sons; a sister, Mrs. Theresa Wolverton of Lowell; 24 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
