DORIS E. SHERD
Doris E. Sherd, age 79 of Wyoming, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019 
at the Laurels of Sandy Creek in Wayland.

Doris was a fun-loving lady who loved being around her family and friends. 
She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, and was never to busy to stop and 
admire and smell the flowers.

Doris is survived by her sons, Tim Waterson of Saginaw; David Sherd (Devon 
Gallegos) of Wayland; grandchildren, Jacob Sherd of Wayland; Loren Sherd of 
Wayland; sisters, Darlene (Jack) Cook of Mason; Marsha (Ken) Foster of 
Charlotte; Ed (Dixie Collier of Harrietta, Ohio; Clarence Collier of 
Zephyrhills, Florida; Gary (Terri) Collier of Fayetteville, North Carolina; 
Vernon (Marsha) Collier of Fort Edward, New York; Darrell Collier of Ovid 
Elsie; Duane (Jackie) Collier of Nashville and her aunt, Helen Branagh of 
Tucson, Arizona. 

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon & Ilene (Steward) Collier; 
husband, Duane Sherd; son, Robert Waterson Jr., and her longtime friend, 
Frank Welch.

Visitation and funeral services for Doris are being held on Tuesday, December 
24, 2019 at the Simpson Family Funeral Home in Sheridan (246 S. Main St.) 
Visitation will be from 10-11 AM and funeral services will begin at 11 AM. 
Doris will be laid to rest next to her husband, Duane in Palo Cemetery.
