Sheren of Sunfield, MI passed away on May 27, 2023 at the age of 67. He was born in Lansing,MI on March 5, 1956, son of Richard "Dick" and Jackie (Meister) Sheren. Rick was a graduate of Grand Ledge High School class of 1974, and served his country proudly for eight years in the United States Army as a Helicopter mechanic.He worked for Millbrook Printing and APEC. Rick was a member of the Sebewa Church of God, Grand Ledge American Legion Post #48, and the Woodland Fraternity Order of Eagles. He enjoyed listening to classic rock music, rebuilding cars, playing drums, playing the harmonica, hunting, camping, and anything to do with the outdoors. Rick is survived by his children, Stephen (Lauren) Sheren, Shelbey (Walt) Whitaker, and Stacey (Cory)Rice, grandchildren,Elaina Nora, DeAnna, and Janie; siblings,Dave (Kimm) Sheren, Karol (Chris) Iskra, Joyce (Don) Sheren-Starr and Quentin Colby; several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, DeAnna Sheren (Graszler); infant son, Kenneth James Sheren, and best friend, Larry Cunningham. A Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held on Saturday,June 17, 2023 from 2 to 8 PM at the American Legion Post #48, 731 N.Clinton St.,Grand Ledge,MI 48837. The family has requested that anyone that attends wear their favorite band shirt in memory of Ricks love of music. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in loving memory of Rick to the Veteran's Association or the American Cancer Society. The family has entrusted arrangement so the Mills Funeral Home,Peters & Murray Chapel, Grand Ledge.
