Ionia Sentinel, 3 Dec 1875

The funeral of Mrs. S. H. Sherman, daughter of David Irish, Esq., who died at 
Grand Rapids on Sunday morning, was held at the Presbyterian church on Tuesday 
afternoon.  Mrs. S. spent nearly her whole life in Ionia, and was beloved by 
all.  Warm hearted and generous, qualities of heart that endeared her to her 
companions, and withal a noble christian woman, her death is universally lamented.
