D. Welch went to Coopersville on mid-day train, to be with Mrs. William O. Sherman, a cousin, whose husband was killed at Grand Rapids last evening, by being run over by a Michigan Central passenger train, while driving one of Wurzburg’s wagons. Mr. Sherman was once a resident of Ionia. He had been in Grand Rapids about six months, moving there from Coopersville, where he is survived by a widow and two children. He owned a livery business there, but disposed of it and came to Grand Rapids to enter the employment of Miller & Sons, liverymen, as foreman of the barn.
