Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Wed. Feb. 10, 1937

Mrs. Katherine Sherman, 80 years of age, of Saranac, died at her home at 11 
o’clock Wednesday morning following an illness of the past seven weeks.

Mrs. Sherman was born in North-umberland, Ont., in 1850 and in 1867 was married 
to Alonzo Sherman of the same village. For many years the Shermans lived on a 
farm three miles south of Saranac and about 16 years ago they moved into the 
village of Saranac. Alonzo Sherman preceded Mrs. Sherman in death by several 
years.

She leaves four sons, John of Hastings, Charles of Dansville, Paul of Saginaw 
and Howard of Lansing, and one daughter, Mrs. Hattie Green of Saranac.

Funeral services will be announced later when the immediate family has convened 
to make arrangements.
