Mrs. Sherman had been in ill health for some time and had been blind for ten years. In spite of her affliction, she was a patient sufferer and was loved by all who knew her. Born in Polkton township, Ottawa county, Michigan, July 28, 1867, the daughter of Estephen and Elmira Morse, her early life was spent on a farm in Ottawa county. She was married to James G. Sherman February 3, 1890, at Hubbardston, and to them were born five children, three daughters and one son. The husband and father died about fifteen years ago. Surviving are the five children, Mrs. Cynthia Youngs of Shepherd, Mich., Mrs. Nellie Kurts of Evart, Mich., James and Jerome Sherman of Crystal township; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, also one brother, Joseph Morse of Evart, several nieces and nephews and many friends. Services were held at 2 o‘clock with interment in the West Side cemetery at Hubbardston. Arrangement by the Burns Funeral Home in Carson City.
