Ionia County News – Thursday, 11 May 1950
Mrs. Elmer Sherwood, Route 3, Ionia, died early Wednesday morning May 10.  She 
was 65 years old.  Ella B. Snider, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Snider, was 
born July 3, 1884 at Sheridan.  On August 8, 1903 she was married to Elmer 
Sherwood of Ionia and they lived in Ionia until 1947 when they moved to the 
farm where she died Wednesday.  She is survived by her husband; two sisters, 
Mrs. Myrtle Smith, Belding and Mrs. M. Meisling of Ionia.  Funeral service 
will be from Myers Funeral Home at 2:00 o’clock Friday afternoon with burial 
in Balcom cemetery.
