                              GORDEN H. SHERWOOD

SARANAC - Gorden H. Sherwood, 60, of 96 Center, Saranac, died Tuesday evening at 
Butterworth hospital in Grand Rapids following a short illness.

He was born April 27, 1912 in East Grand Rapids. For 25 years he was employed at 
the diesel equipment division of General Motors Corp of Grand Rapids.

June 24, 1939 he was married in Lowell to Esther White and they lived in Saranac 
since 1947.

Surviving besides the wife, Esther, are a son, Michael G. at home and daughter, 
Mrs.Deanna Loucks of Ionia; father Bertram Tuinstra of rural Rockford; half-
brother, Ralph Sherwood of Grand Rapids; two sisters, Mrs.Betty Leeman of Lowell 
and Mrs.Barbara Wilsted of Greenville; five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2:30 pm at Morris-Roetman Funeral Home in 
Saranac. Rev. James Frank will officiate and interment will be st Saranac 
Cemetery.

family will be at the funeral home Thrusday from 7 to 9 pm.
