Lyons Herald, 25 Aug 1910

Polly D., daughter of Brazilla and Sarah Hakes, was born in Seneca county, 
Ohio, November 13, 1846, and was united in marriage to Charles W. Shetterly 
Aug. 29, 1867; came to Michigan in 1871 and settled on a farm in Barry county, 
where they remained 13 years, then came to the present home April 10, 1884.  To 
this union three children were born, Ozro B. of Lake Odessa, Gracie B. of 
Portland and Bertha A. of Detroit.

She departed this life August 19th, aged 63 years, 9 months and 6 days.  The 
husband, three children, three sisters and two brothers, with a host of 
friends, are left to mourn her loss.  The funeral was held at the home Sunday, 
Rev. Wm. Judd officiating.
