Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Tues. Sept. 8, 1953

LAKE ODESSA- Funeral services for Ozra B. Shetterley, 84, retired farmer, who 
died Sunday, Sept. 6, at 3 a.m. at his home in Lake Odessa were conducted 
Tuesday afternoon at the Pickens funeral chapel by the Rev. A.J. Pitman.

Burial was in Lakeside cemetery.

He was born May 13, 1869, in Seneca county, O., son of Charles W. and Polly 
Shetterley. When a small boy he moved with his parents to Barry County where he 
lived until he was seven when they moved to near Lyons. He resided there until 
his marriage February 2, 1891. Following his marriage he moved to a farm in 
West Sebewa where he lived for 62 years before moving to Lake Odessa 21 years 
ago. His son Dale still lives on that West Sebewa farm.

Surviving him are his wife, Lillie; a daughter, Mrs. Clifton Cook, of Lake 
Odessa; a son, Dale, of Lake Odessa; 9 grandchildren and 17 great-
grandchildren.
