Hasting's Reminder - Sat. February 22, 2025

ROYAL LEE SHILTON Sr., age 78, of Lake Odessa, Michigan passed away, God Dammit! 
on Friday, February 14, 2025. He was born on September 15, 1946 in Sebewa to 
Iril and Matilda(Hissong) Shilton. Royal proudly served our country in the Army 
during Vietnam and later in the Michigan National Guard for total service time 
of over 23 years. On June 11th, 1966 he married Teri-Ann Brooks, together they 
raised 4 children in their 59 years of marriage.

He will be missed by: his wife Teri-Ann, children Royal(Charity)Lee Shilton Jr., 
Ryan(Kelly) Shilton, Randy (Brandi)Shilton and Melody Bliss, grandchildren Julie 
(David), Megan(Jeremiah), Allison(Jesse) Austin (Larieca), Dianne (Lyle), 
Christopher (Mikayla), great-grandchildren Bryson, Brooks, Justin, Kaeley, 
Ryleigh (Jacob), Zechariah, Aeianna, Liam, Reece, Arielle, Charlie, Choloe, 
Avianna, Evelyn, great-grandchildren Stellah, Koralyn, Cannon, Marynn, in-laws 
Milo (Bonnie)Brooks and Melvin Brooks Jr.,along with many many nieces and 
nephews.

Royal was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Margaret Ackerson, Carl 
Shilton, Edith Tucker,Bertha Smith, Pauline Crawford, Howard Shilton and Kenneth 
Shilton.

According to his wishes cremation has been performed and burial will take place 
at Fort Custer National Cemetery with full Military Honors.Service time to be 
announced in the Spring.

In lieu of flowers Donations to the Lake Odessa Firefighters Associations in 
Royal's name would be appreciated. They can be made in person to the Lake Odessa 
Fire Department, or checks made out to Lake Odessa Firefighters Association can 
be sent to 1150 1st Street Lake Odessa,MI 48849 or in person at Union Bank Lake 
Odessa Firefighters Association account.
