The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, April 15, 1935
Funeral services were held from the Sunfield Methodist church Sunday afternoon 
at 2 o’clock for Andrew Shilton, 77, who died Friday afternoon following an 
illness of several years.  Interment was at Tuttle cemetery.

He was born August 24, 1857, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Shilton in Orange 
township, where he continued to reside until his marriage in 1889 to Hattie 
Canfield.  Forty years ago they moved to Sebewa township.  Surviving are four 
children, Ernest of California, Orilla of Grand Rapids, Alta, Howard City, and 
Riley of Sebewa.
