The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Saturday, March 23, 1974
Iril Shilton, 82, of Portland died in an Ionia nursing home Friday morning.  
He was a retired farmer and lifelong resident of the area.  

Among his survivors are his wife, Faith; four daughters, Mrs. Margarite 
Ackerson of Sunfield, Mrs. Edith Tucker of Belding, Mrs. Bertha Smith and Mrs. 
Pauline Crawford of Portland; four sons, Carl Shilton of Marion, Howard of 
Lake Odessa, Kenneth of Saranac and Royal of Portland; two stepsons, Donald 
Lanning of Milford and Elton Crawford of Davisburg; two sisters, Alta 
Rosebrock of Saginaw and Mrs. Orilla Raison of Grand Rapids; 46 grandchildren; 
three step grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2:30 p. at Mapes-Fisher funeral home in 
Sunfield.  Interment will be at East Sebewa cemetery.
