Mildred M. (Decker) Shinabarger, age 78, of Orleans, Mich., died Friday, Feb. 
22, 2008 at her home.  She was born Nov. 27, 1929 in Hubbardston, Mich. to Ney 
and Bernice (Bowers) Bogert. Mildred has been a longtime resident of Ronald 
Township and was also a member of the Shiloh Community Church.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel (Phyllis) Decker of Saranac and Daryl 
(Julie Decker) of Orleans; her grandchildren, Tracy Chappell of Detroit, 
Travis (Tara) Decker of Saranac and Amy (Bobby) Bear of Greenville; two great-
grandchildren, Maya Chappell and Alyssa Bear; three sisters, Emma Erdmann of 
Milwaukee, Wis., Maimie (Leroy) Schnicke, of Orleans and Marjorie (Ernst) 
Bisanz of Georgia and three brothers, Lawrence (Margie) Bogert of Hubbardston, 
Ned (Sue) Bogert of Ionia and Franklin White of Portland.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Eleanor Ingersoll 
and Louise Miers

Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 25 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Simpson Family 
Funeral Home, Sheridan. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, 
beginning at 11 a.m. at the Shiloh Community Church, Orleans with Pastor 
Kendall Harger officiating. Interment is at the Palo Cemetery in Palo. The 
Simpson Family Funeral Home is honored to serve the Decker-Shinabarger family 
with care and compassion during their time of loss and bereavement.
