She was taken sick with abscess on the brain on the Tuesday previous and despite every care and attention that medical skill and good nursing could render, the bright young life just budding into beautiful womanhood passed away. Sadie was but fourteen years old and was one of the members of the class receiving the first communion conferred by Rev. Fr. Zindler in the church there two weeks ago, the other members of the class who had been her schoolmates and young associates acted as pall bearers, and the girl who walked with her at communion carried a fine cross of beautiful flowers. The scene was a most sad and pathetic one as they laid her remains tenderly to rest in the cemetery. The funeral was held in the church Tuesday morning just a week from the day she was taken sick, Rev. Fr. Zindler speaking words of consolation to the very many bereaved hearts. It was one of the largest ever held there as she was loved by all in that community and wherever she was known. Besides her parents leaves eight brothers and one sister, Mrs. Chas. Breimayer, whose hearts are saddened with a great grief over her untimely death. The large number of lovely flowers and floral offerings on and about the casket and at the grave attested the high esteem in which she was held.
