He lived at 521 Crooks St. Mr. Shindorf was a lifetime resident and was born May 7, 1880 in Otisco township, Ionia county. He was a farmer by trade and had been employed at Extruded Metals. He was married to Anna F. Kessler who died in 1959. Mr. Shindorf belonged to St. Mary’s Holy Name Society. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Roy (Marcella) Sower, Belding; Mrs. Alden (Pauline) Sparks, Saranac; Mrs. Ernest (Rosemary) Van Ocker, Belding; Mrs. William (Theresa Ann) Ten Eyk, Grand Rapids, and one son William of Belding; four brothers, Leo, Peter and Lewis of Belding and Edward of Grand Rapids; 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m., St. Mary’s church, Miriam with interment in the church cemetery. Rosary will be held Friday evening at 8 p.m. at the Huffman Funeral Home.
