Belding Banner-News, 19 Sep 1957

Frank Shindorf passed away at St. Joseph’s hospital in Ann Arbor Wednesday. 
Born in Otisco Twp on Nov. 23, 1872, he was 84 years old.  He had lived in the
Otisco-Keene township area all of his life.

Survivors include his wife, the former Kate Metternick; one son, Lawrence G., of
R2, Belding, and three daughters, Mrs. Maynard (Leona) Byrnes, of Ionia; Mrs.
John (Loretta) Hinkle of Ann Arbor, and Mrs. Joseph (Lorene) Fitzgerald, also of
Ann Arbor.

Additional survivors include five brothers and one sister.  They are: Peter, Ben
J., and Leo, all of Belding; Edward of Grand Rapids, Louis of Grattan and Mrs.
Charles Breimayer of R1, Belding.  Ten grandchildren and seven great
grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s church, Miriam,
where he was a member of the church and of the Holy Name society.  Rosary will
be recited at the Huffman Funeral Home at 8 p.m. Friday.  Burial will be in St.
Mary’s cemetery.  The body is at the Huffman Funeral Home.
