She was born in Traverse City, February 23, 1888, and had lived here for 18 years. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic church and of the Blue Star Mothers. In 1942 she was married to Leo Shindorf and he survives. Other survivors are six step-daughters: Mrs. Eva Gunderson of Greenville, Mrs. Clare Bowers of Palo, Mrs. Carey Kahley of Dundee, Mrs. Charles Rutz of Ionia, Mrs. Beverley Harris and Mrs. Volley Holbrook of this city; seven step-sons: Richard, Arnold, Earl and Bernard of this city, Paul of Grand Rapids, Hubert of R1, Orleans, and Henry of Cooks Corners; also two sisters: Mrs. L. V. Cooper of Battle Creek and Mrs. K. J. Knapp of Grand Rapids; five brothers: George Fuller of Flint, Charles and Harry of Traverse City, Fred and Clarence of Detroit, and 38 step-grandchildren. The Rosary was recited Monday at 8 p.m. at Huffman Funeral Home and funeral services were held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Saint Joseph’s church with Rev. Fr. Adrian T. English O.P., of Aquinas college, Grand Rapids, officiating, and burial was in the St. Joseph cemetery.
