Shindorf, 58, of Belding, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2006, at his home. Phillip was born June 30, 1947, to Hubert and Catherine Ward Shindorf. He was raised in Belding and attended Belding Public Schools. Phillip had many hobbies, including fishing, hunting, mushrooming, camping, playing softball and spending time with his grandchildren. He was disabled and did volunteer work with the Ionia County Animal Shelter, which he loved. Phillip was preceded in death by brother, Robert, and parents, Hub and Cate Shindorf. He is survived by son, Robert Shindorf of Ann Arbor; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Shawn and Craig Winters of Hastings, Carrie and Andy Green of Greenville, Melissa Boersma of Kentwood; three grandchildren, Drew and Reanna Green, Sage Winters; two brothers, Gerald and Rose Shindorf of Alabama, George and Peggy Shindorf of Ionia; close friends, Mike and Florence Belding of Saranac; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday at Huffman-Brigham Funeral Chapel, Belding. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ionia County Animal Shelter.
